After a year away from the mic… I’m back (kinda). And a LOT has changed.

I’m almost 34 weeks pregnant 🤰🏽 So today I’m spilling all the details on how I’m prepping for an extended maternity leave while making sure my email agency keeps running smoothly without me.

I’m also taking a trip down memory lane and sharing what I learned from my first maternity leave as a business owner (back in 2021) – what worked, what didn’t, and how those lessons shaped the plan I’m putting into action this time.

I break down how I’ve set my finances, outlined my goals, and hired an incredible team to step in while I’m away.

Even if maternity leave isn’t on your radar, the tips and strategies I’m sharing will help any business owner plan for an extended break.

We all need a little time off now and then, right?

Dielle Charon has cracked the code. This business coach earned more than a million dollars in 2022 and $370K in the first 2 months of 2023. She says one of the reasons for this success is her focus on delivering quality programmes and buttoning up her business processes.

But it took a lot of mindset work to give up chasing the glamour of internet fame and social media celebrity.

In this episode, Dielle shares how her biggest mistake early on in her coaching business was comparing herself to other business coaches on social media and spending too much time trying to become popular online. Now, she’s focused on being comfortable with her own experiences and skills to find the success she's looking for.

My guest is Jennifer Ogunyemi, the founder of Sisters in Business, the largest organization in the UK dedicated to inspiring, connecting, and elevating Muslim women in business. Jennifer serves as a mentor to countless Muslim women. But before her business took off, she struggled with how to show up visibly in her business. In fact, while her business was taking off, no one knew that a Black woman was behind it. That led her to miss out on opportunities and affirmation as a business owner. Now, she encourages Muslim women to show up for themselves.

“Ghosting My Email List" with Laura Belgray

No Limits and No Boundaries with Star Melancon

Sometimes, we don’t know when or how to say no.

My guest for this episode is Star Melancon. Star is a scientist turned entrepreneur who struggled with setting boundaries in her corporate workplace before launching her own financial consulting business. Star thought removing herself from the corporate environment would restore her ability to set boundaries and give her a healthy work-life balance.

But Star learned that without true transformation, she would continue the same people-pleasing practices that led to serious physical and mental health consequences. That mistake forced her to turn inward and figure out what made her put everyone else's needs before her own.
