Darren Smith and John Gennaro kick off the show by talking about self care and paying for someone else to trim your beard, plus a couple of stories about sneaking alcohol into sporting events.
The guys eventually get around to the San Diego Padres, who won their 4th consecutive game last night when Randy Vasquez twirled a gem against the Milwaukee Brewers. There are now paths for the Padres to potentially get some home playoff games next week, if not a path to them actually winning the NL West, and the guys get into the weeds about it (including who would be the team's starter in Game 1 of the NLDS).
Jimmy Kimmel returned to (some of) the airwaves last night and delivered one of the most-watched monologues in late night television history, so Darren and John discussed what they liked about it and if it will end up meaning anything in the long run.
Finally, the guys argue a bit over Major League Baseball installing the ABS ("automatic ball-strike system") system next year and talk about what fans can expect to change when they're watching on the couch.
