Darren Smith and John Gennaro got together, a little earlier than usual on a Monday, and kicked off today's show by talking about the shifting landscape of media through the lens of the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards.
After that, the guys get into the San Diego Padres taking a home series against the woeful Colorado Rockies and if there's something to be taken away from the hot hitting of Jackson Merrill and Fernando Tatis Jr., who is once again crediting his father for his own adjustments.
John gets Darren up to speed on the Canelo/Crawford fight over the weekend that saw Canelo take the loss in Las Vegas, while Darren remembers Ricky Hatton as part of some of his favorite sports experiences.
The guys then break down San Diego FC's 3-1 loss to Minnesota United over the weekend, detailing what went wrong and what went right for SDFC in a good match between two very good clubs.
Finally, Darren and John finally finished the Cowboys documentary on Netflix and are eager to talk about it. They try to save the bulk of the conversation for tomorrow but keep referencing their favorite parts of the final two episodes
